Yes! The symbol of 'Simple Living Okinawa' is my favorite flower in my garden - a pure white hibiscus. I have other white ones, but only this one is pure white.
I bought it from a local garden center and unfortunately it is difficult to find more like it. I think most people like bigger and more brightly colored flowers. This white one is also not so easy to grow - both the plant and leaves are small.
This plant is on one side of my gate, and there is a bright red one on the other side. In Japan, red (kou) and white (haku) are often used to symbolize a celebration or for good luck.
