These days we can't go out so much. Everyone, all around the world. Me too. But I can go for a walk in the evening as dusk begins to fall. I stay close to home and there are just a few other people on the way - almost always the exact same people, walking alone or with a dog or two :)

Nowadays, we cross the street when we see someone coming, not because we don't like dogs, but to give each other space. That is a little sad, but at the same time, we nod a greeting and sometimes even say "Good evening".
It might be a very simple and boring thing, but I love it when a farmer has just ploughed (plowed - American English) a field. The earth smells lovely and often birds are enjoying looking for worms or other bugs.
And a ploughed field is full of promise of new life. These fields will soon have sugarcane planted in them again.

Miyako soil is of red clay and forms large clods. The farmers will have to turn the soil, then plough, then go back again with a different tractor, then yet again to smooth over the field. They will find big rocks (like the one in the photo, the size of a soccer ball). But this rock is limestone and is full of minerals which then give life to the young plants.
Life is hard work, step by step, season by season. But today's empty field is tomorrow's harvest. Stay safe and enjoy the small things in life.
